History of SWM Activities
V. Year-2008-2010:
Consultancy services on Integrated Solid Waste Management under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNRUM):
For the implementation of the project a private party namely Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd., Hyderabad is engaged for the next twenty years by the Guwahati Municipal Corporation through international competitive bidding under the JNNURM. Accordingly primary activities are started from 29th October, 2008.
In this connection ENVIRON was given responsibilities for initiating mass awareness programme and given the consultancy services on the following issues:
- Primary Collection
- Secondary Collection
- Road Sweeping
- Drain Cleaning
